Preferences> Regulatory Check & Data Field
Regulatory Check:
The system allows users to define custom validation rules for invoice processing.
These rules can be set to different severity levels:
- Error (E): Blocks saving the invoice if a validation rule fails. This is for critical errors that prevent proper processing.
- Warning (W): Flags a warning message when a validation rule is not met. This alerts the user to potential issues but allows them to proceed with caution.
- Information (I): Provides informative messages when a validation rule is triggered. This can highlight areas for review but doesn't hinder processing.
Users can enable these validation rules to receive appropriate notifications (errors, warnings, or information) during invoice processing and saving. This empowers users to customize the level of detail they receive while ensuring critical issues are flagged.
Data Fields:
Configurable Data Fields
The invoice maker/checker screen allows users to define the following properties for each data field:
- Mandatory (M): Makes the field compulsory during invoice creation. Users must enter a value before saving the invoice.
- Hidden (H): Hides the field from the invoice maker screen. This is useful for pre-populated data or internal calculations. Users can still see the hidden field's value in the checker screen (if applicable).
- Optional (O): Allows users to leave the field blank during invoice creation. This provides flexibility for data that may not be relevant for all invoices.
For Example:
For Eg:
a. When IFSC code is set to Error and Rule is Enable
When IFSC action is set on Error and Rule is set on Enable in (Regulatory Check -Other) as shown above, then in Data Field when IFSC code action is set to Hide or Optional then the rule wont work.
b. When IFSC code is set to Warning and Rule is Enable
When IFSC action is set on Warning and Rule is set on Enable in (Regulatory Check -Other) as shown above, then in Data Field, when IFSC code action is set to Hide or Optional then the rule wont work.
c. When IFSC code is set to Info and Rule is Enable
When IFSC action is set on Info and Rule is set on Enable in (Regulatory Check) -Other as shown above, then in Data Field, when IFSC code action is set to Hide or Optional then the rule wont work.
Only when the Rule is Disabled in (Regulatory Check -Other) then Making changes in Data Field for IFSC code to keep it as Hide or Optional will work.
